Volume 6 of the Foot, Ankle, Knee and Hip Protocol is here and the months theme is “intention”.
Far too often, endurance athletes piece together a random collection of lower body movements, throw them together into a "routine” and expect results. This is disrespecting the intricacy of strength work. You must move with specificity, intention and with attention to detail to your objectives needs.
The focal points of this months protocol are that of movement mechanisms: We want to build strength in the domains that help us move further, better. We put an emphasis on controlled contractions, a combination of unilateral and bi-lateral movements and a healthy dose of plyometric work.
